Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 June 2026
By using halalstock.net or its API/MCP server (the "Service") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Contact: [email protected].
1. What the Service is
The Service provides automated Sharia-compliance screening analysis for stocks and ETFs, based on the published AAOIFI Shariah Standard No. 21, together with related tools (zakat and purification estimates, alerts, a screener).
2. Not a fatwa, not advice
The Service is for information and education only. It is NOT a fatwa, a religious ruling or certification, financial or investment advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. We are not a Sharia supervisory board and we do not issue a religious ruling. We do our honest best, but verdicts are produced by automated screening of best-effort public data, and they are our interpretation only — they may differ from other scholars or screeners, and they can be wrong. Verdicts are point-in-time and can change at any time as a company's debt, income mix, or business changes. The 5% non-permissible-income test is not verified on the free data we use. You are solely responsible for your own religious and investment decisions; you must verify with the company's own filings and consult a qualified scholar and a licensed financial advisor before acting on anything you see here.
3. Data accuracy & no guarantee
Market and company data comes from third parties (e.g. Yahoo Finance) and may be incomplete, delayed, or incorrect, and our automated processing may itself contain errors. Verdicts can change as data changes. We make no guarantee and give no warranty that any verdict, score, ratio, date, or figure is accurate, complete, or current. Every verdict carries a last-checked date and is only as fresh as the data behind it; treat it as a starting point, not a final answer.
4. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HalalStock and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss (financial, religious, or otherwise) arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim (or USD 0 if you use the free tier).
6. Subscriptions, billing & refunds
Paid plans are sold and processed by our third-party payment provider acting as merchant of record, which collects payment and remits any applicable sales tax or VAT. You can cancel at any time from your account; your plan stays active until the end of the current paid period and does not renew after that.
Refunds. If you are not satisfied, email [email protected] within 14 days of a charge and we will refund that payment to your original payment method through the payment provider. The free tier is never charged, and the low-cost trial converts to a paid plan only if you don't cancel before it ends.
7. Acceptable use, your API key & no resale
Your API key is personal and confidential. You agree that you will not:
- Share, transfer, publish, or sell your API key, or let anyone else use it. Your key is for your own account only — one account per person or organization. Rate limits apply per key, and access from many devices, IP addresses, or automated agents under a single key may be treated as sharing.
- Resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the Service, the API, or access to it — including bundling our screening into another product or offering it to third parties — without a separate written agreement with us.
- Republish, redistribute, or sell the data, verdicts, scores, or output, in whole or in part, as a dataset, feed, file, or competing screening service. The output is licensed to you for your own internal use and personal investment decisions only.
- Scrape, bulk-download, cache, or extract beyond your plan's limits, or circumvent or attempt to circumvent rate limits, the metered free allowance, authentication, or any technical control.
- Reverse engineer the Service, or use it unlawfully, to build a competing product, or in any way that overloads or threatens the Service or other users.
We meter and rate-limit every key (per minute and per day) and we may monitor for abuse. We may suspend, rate-limit, regenerate, or revoke any key — and terminate the account without refund — that we reasonably believe is shared, resold, redistributing data, or otherwise violating these terms or threatening the Service.
8. Changes & governing law
We may update these terms; continued use means acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's jurisdiction (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
